Tanya Murphy, MD, MS

Dr. Tanya Murphy collaborates with the Florida Medicaid Drug Therapy Management Program (MDTMP) for Behavioral Health to evaluate Second Medical Reviews (SMRs) submitted for children and adolescents enrolled in Medicaid Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) plans, and oversee operations of the Florida Pediatric Psychiatry Hotline, for which she provides many of the consultations. She is currently the Director of the Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry and the Tourette Syndrome Association Center of Excellence, Southeastern Consortium site. Dr. Murphy is a professor with dual appointments in the departments of pediatrics and psychiatry at the University of South Florida. She also serves as the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the University of South Florida (USF) Department of Pediatrics and holds the Maurice A. and Thelma P. Rothman Endowed Chair of Developmental Pediatrics. She has extensive experience in treating and studying childhood psychiatric conditions such as pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus (PANDAS), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), tic disorders, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and stuttering. Dr. Justyna Wojas is an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of South Florida (USF). Dr. Wojas collaborates with the Florida Medicaid Drug Therapy Management Program (MDTMP) for Behavioral Health to evaluate Second Medical Reviews (SMRs) submitted for children and adolescents enrolled in Medicaid Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) plans and also helps with the Florida Pediatric Psychiatry Hotline that provides primary care providers with telephone consultation with mental health experts. Dr. Wojas completed her general psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami program. She is Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry with subspecialty Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
